The Waiting Game

There’s nothing better than perfect timing. And by perfect timing, I mean God’s perfect timing. I’ve realized that throughout the years the things I’ve been looking for come at the least expected time. I’ve never received every single thing but that doesn’t matter. God has given me the things I need rather than the things I want.

I have been blessed with an amazing family, a great mother, the best job etc. He has also blessed me with the right man at the right time. Little did I know, 5 years ago my future husband was already here… He was here being molded into the person he has become today. And at that same I was being molded and worked on to become the woman I am today.

Something to always remember as you’re starting to get to know someone.

Love is a decision you make. Love is not an emotion.

I’ve decided to love Nolan and when I’m with him, I feel blessed, happy, loved and most importantly, I feel and know that God put Him in my life for a reason. Having God in the center of our lives has made us better humans and help each other live this life.

We’ve all been on the search for the right person. You’ve probably dating someone for weeks, months or years and realize that wasn’t the right person for you. Or you were blinding by emotions and didn’t see what others saw. Maybe all of your friends are either married, engaged or in a great relationship and you’re still single and you’re in the waiting game. There’s a reason for that and there’s nothing wrong with being single.

God always has a plan. God puts us through phases and processes in our lives to construct and prepare us for the next phase and process in our path. Maybe the process you’re going through right now is preparing you to enter a new relationship. Maybe it’s not a relationship. It could be a new job, another obstacle that will test your faith and build your character…

If you’re in the mentality right now that God isn’t giving you what you want or isn’t thinking about you…

Just wait patiently because you were created for something amazing and in His time, He will reveal it all to you. So while you’re in the waiting game.. Dwell on Psalm 37:4.

PSALM 37:4

Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
